About this ebook

The first six issues of the critically acclaimed new Wonder Woman series are collected here in WONDER WOMAN VOL. 1: BLOOD! Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons, has kept a secret from her daughter all her life-and when Wonder Woman learns who her father is, her life will shatter like brittle clay. The only one more shocked than Diana by this revelation? Bloodthirsty Hera-so why is her sinister daughter, Strife, so eager for the truth to be told? Superstar writer Brian Azzarello creates a new direction for one of DC's best-known heroes, with spectacular art by Cliff Chiang and Tony Akins!

A GOOD COMIC, I LOVE IT, mostly things happen here are good in this book. I don't like aleka and how diana is mocked by "clay" nickname But mostly things are good in this book, so yeah I still love it ❣️🫶. Comic book writers are humans, so, little mistakes in comics are tolerable by the way, including in Brian's work. Little mistakes are fine hehe 💕 BUT OVERALL, THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD AND I RECOMMEND IT‼️🔥 REAL LIFE GREEK MYTH ACCURATE. No wonder this comics series by brian once entered New York Times best selling series category 🔥

Of all the New 52 books out, this was one of the ones I was looking the most forward to. After finishing it, I'm still trying to understand what all the 'buzz' is about. Azzarello had some great ideas and premises to the Wonder Woman mythos, but it just was disjointed in delivery which is unusual for him. I would recommend getting it; maybe I just missed something. I've purchased the rest of the series to see how it plays out, so it wasn't bad nor a waste of money.

Good characterization for Diana herself and great art. However, made Wonder Woman all about the men (having her be Zeus' child was a joke a previous writer made about how badly a movie could screw up the character!) and turned the Amazons into bloodthirsty manhaters, a caricature of hypocritical feminists. The plot is everything I NEVER wanted in a Wonder Woman story.
