The fourth book in the Starlight Monster, and another engrossing story in the series. This is for Skye MacKinnon called My Big Grumpy Alien Dragon. Human Hazel finds herself naked and in the middle of a survivor game. Tyvaron has been turned from a humanoid dragon to a huge cyborg dragon by the game masters. The story grabbed my interest from the start and held it throughout. It was exceptionally well-written, featuring great characters and a compelling storyline and a happy ending.

My Big Grumpy Alien Dragon by Skye MacKinnon. Enslaving and modifying aliens to fight and compete for the entertainment of viewers is a dark theme to start with. Hazel wakes up in this environment and is instantly on the run. I loved how this story unfolded with alternating POV as well as unique writing portraying Fallins’ reawakening. Overcoming oppression to break free to be yourself was a great takeaway. As well, with both Fallin and Hazel finding “home” made for a cozy feel good ending.

As you all know I love anything Skye Mackinnon. Sooo, even with a pretty dark beginning it was an immediate treat when I saw she had something new and with sexy dragons. We are smack dab in a world I’ve never had a chance to explore but I now want to go back and learn about the rest of the characters.
