Información sobre este eBook

This highly topical book focuses on novel features and applications of nanostructured nonlinear optical materials. It considers the applications of small-sized multiatomic species for optical limiting, Q-switching, and mode-locking, as well as laser-nanoplasma physics. It will be useful to a wide range of readers, including physicists, material scientists, and engineers interested in material science, plasma physics, laser technology, and spectroscopy.

Acerca del autor

Rashid Ganeev is a Senior Researcher at University of Latvia, Riga, Latvia. His main area of research is the nonlinear optics, particularly high-order harmonics generation of laser radiation in laser-induced plasmas and investigation of the nonlinear optical properties of various materials. He is also interested in the investigation of the coherent extreme ultraviolet radiation sources and high-power solid state laser physics. He has published nine monographs based on studies of the low- and high-order nonlinear optical properties of various materials, as well as more than 400 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
