About this ebook

Blood Code: Transylvania

By Joshua Luke Wisham

In the heart of the Carpathians, science has awakened something older than death. Dr. Andreia Varga, a visionary neuroscientist haunted by the loss of her brother, returns to her ancestral village of Valea Ascunsă to complete her life’s work — a device capable of capturing the essence of human consciousness. But beneath the fog-choked mountains and decaying Soviet laboratories, her experiment stirs ancient echoes best left undisturbed. What begins as a quest to preserve memory becomes a descent into madness as Andreia discovers her technology bridges more than minds — it opens a gateway between the digital and the damned. Shadows from Transylvania’s darkest legends claw their way into reality, merging blood with circuitry and myth with machine.

Now, as the boundaries between science and superstition collapse, Andreia must confront the terrifying truth: immortality has a price, and some codes are written in blood.

Blood Code: Transylvania fuses gothic horror and cyber-thriller intensity in a chilling exploration of obsession, technology, and the undead consciousness that refuses to die.

About the author

Author, Joshua Luke Wisham is a thirty-three-year-old single father who has established himself as an innovative, boundary-breaking author across multiple genres of fiction and nonfiction. Known for his immersive worldbuilding, emotionally resonant storytelling, and fearless blending of horror, science fiction, and dark fantasy, romance, and so much more. Wisham has built a reputation as a writer who pushes beyond convention while staying deeply connected to human themes of loss, survival, and transformation.

As the founder of MTM Publishing, Wisham brings a hands-on approach to every stage of the creative process—from writing, ghost writing, freelancing, and editing to formatting, design, and branding. His work reflects both a perfectionist’s eye for detail and a visionary’s drive to expand the possibilities of genre fiction.

Wisham’s fiction includes the supernatural Midnight Madness series (Midnight Madness One: The Birth, Midnight Madness 2: Blood for Blood), its connected sub-series Luke Ash-Cloud Dawn, and The Chronicles of the Ancients 1: Before the Madness. He is also the author of the gothic ShadowBone Manor series (ShadowBone Manor: Emilia Greywood Story), as well as standalone works such as Carnage Cove, The Last Ember, The Timekeeper Notebook, Memories of a Woman, and the Mistress Series (Mistress Between the Shadows). His stories are celebrated for their mythic depth, psychological tension, and haunting atmospheres. Beyond fiction, Wisham explores the cultural and historical roots of music and myth. His nonfiction titles include Sex, Drugs, and Hair Metal, a chronicle of the 1980s music scene, and the ambitious Hell’s Amplifier series, beginning with Crossroads: The Forgotten History of the Blues. He also launched the Umbra-Codex series with Umbra-Codex: Cursed Objects, blending folklore, history, and cultural analysis.

Across Wisham's 21 published works, Joshua Luke Wisham has demonstrated a rare ability to merge the mythic with the modern, the intimate with the epic. His novels and essays alike reflect a deep fascination with curses, artifacts, black magic, and the hidden histories that shape human experience. With each release, he continues to expand his creative universe, establishing himself as a distinctive voice in contemporary horror, speculative fiction, and cultural nonfiction. Wisham has done so much in such a short amount of time. And he shows no sign of slowing down!
