1/3 of the book is side stories retelling what is already known or doesn't need to be known. I bought the books in advance and I don't know how I can work my way through them. Who would waste time for the back story of a beast mentioned once, but was killed off three books back?

Again, story was decent... but too many side stories again. and a story about the author's road trip and bamboo shoots or something. And to end the book with "now that I've reached my word count".... 🤦🏽♂️
