Benjamin Breckinridge Warfield (1851–1921) was one of the foremost Reformed theologians of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A professor at Princeton Theological Seminary for over thirty years, Warfield combined deep scholarly rigor with a profound pastoral concern for truth and godliness. He is best known for his unwavering defense of the inspiration and authority of Scripture, as well as his robust articulation of historic Calvinism.
Trained in both theology and natural science, Warfield wrote extensively on biblical inerrancy, Christology, and the relationship between faith and reason. His writings reveal a passionate commitment to the sovereignty of God and the centrality of the cross.
