Katie and Damon have been best friends forever, since kindergarten. Needing Happily Ever After by Elena Aitken, book two in her Ever After series, is an amazing story featuring a fake relationship my favorite trope, and pairing that with friends to lovers, oh my!!!! This is truly the perfect love story. Damon Banks might be a billionaire, but when his childhood home goes on the market, he knows he must have it. There’s a catch. His father is insisting that it be sold to a married couple. Damon knows there’s a way around this. Katie Langdon would do anything for him, including being his fake fiancé. They have known each other forever and know each other better than anyone else; this should be a breeze. As their wedding date approaches, the pretending becomes more difficult as their feelings, real feelings neither of them realized they’d ever had, become very real. Suddenly the line between fake and real becomes blurred, and Damon and Katie must figure out how to straighten out this mess or risk losing true love for good. Ms. Aitken wrote a wonderful and amazing story, filled with sizzling chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters that is not to be missed. I totally enjoyed and highly recommend Needing Happily Ever After to other readers and look forward to the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

What a sweet read. It’s not your typical fake fiancé story. Two best friends who love each other cannot figure out that they’re in love with each other. Katie and Damon have been inseparable since childhood. Damon wants his childhood home and a Katie wants to help him get it. Along the way, they tripped up and realized they were in love all along. My only criticism is the language so the book isn’t PG. I feel the same emphasis can be made without the use of those words. I guarantee you will love this story. It’s sweet and endearing. The relationship between two life long friends, turns into more. Nothing about this story is easy, but in the end romance and friendship changes, the challenge is can it last, moving toward a HEA. Another special story. Don’t miss this one. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
