About this eBook

Keeping secrets comes at a deadly price

After a scandal forces DI Kelly Porter out of the Met, she returns home to the Lake District. There she begins work on a shocking cold case – the abduction and brutal murder of ten-year-old Lottie Davis. The girl was taken during a birdwatching trip when her parents were distracted for just a few minutes. Was it an opportunist crime or a cold-blooded plan by someone who'd been watching and waiting?

Meanwhile, Kelly is investigating two apparently unrelated cases: a baby abandoned on the dales and the death of a local businessman. But soon the evidence reveals a tangled web of criminal activity. Behind the veneer of sleepy, touristy towns lies a dangerous underworld and the DI risks paying the ultimate price to get to the truth...

Don't miss this taut and gripping novel from million-copy bestseller Rachel Lynch. Perfect for fans of Carol Wyer, Patricia Gibney and Angela Marsons. What readers are saying about Dark Game

This book was only 'meh'. I felt like it was missing something. Actually i felt like this book was a leadup novel to the second book. A decent read. I think this series really became more positive after I read Deep Fear. I also think that Deep Fear wouldn't have been as enjoyable without Dark Game.

Definitely covers the darker side of life, but is well done and engaging. The frequent political comments about the UK's various immigrant problems was a bit disappointing because it ruined the illusion, and was a reminder that this was fiction and an author was manipulating the events.

Ripping story of a police detective who doesn't let the grass grow. Horrid enemies face off as she claws her way into the investigation, finding layer on layer of indecency to overcome. Go girl!
