When Verduaga Greeneyes, king of the wildcats, becomes tyrant ruler over the creatures of Mossflower, the woodlanders begin a life of serfdom and cruelty. But then, one winter afternoon, a young mouse called Martin chances by the woods -bringing with him an indomitable spirit of adventure and will for freedom . . .

"Wonderful and colourful adventure that has my five and eight year old begging [for] the next chapter. Read these books myself growing up and it's wonderful to be able to share them and enjoy them again." - a 5-star reviewer

You know a story is good, when you enjoy the villains just as much as the heroes. I felt the book was very well paced, I enjoyed the way the action jumped from Martin, Gonff Dinny, and Log-a-log's Journey to Salamandastron to the events of Mossflower and Kotir. It didn't feel boring, there was no part of this book that made me wish it was over. It was a nice casual read with a good bit of action and humor thrown in.
