About this ebook

In the neon-drenched streets of a crumbling Philadelphia, a relentless PI hunts for truth among monsters, ancient gods, and corrupted tech.

Welcome to a world where cyberpunk technology collides with Lovecraftian horror. When alien deities stalk the shadows and bioengineered nightmares rule the night, private investigator Saru Solan gets pulled into a labyrinth of secrets, betrayal, and eldritch terror.

Plunge into a cyberpunk noir filled with futuristic urban horror, grotesque mutants, and a city overrun by both technology and madness. Navigate the underbelly of dystopian Philadelphia alongside a hardened female detective battling not just the criminal elements—but the very fabric of reality itself.

Perfect for fans of Blade Runner’s grit, Lovecraft’s cosmic horror, and Sin City’s sharp-edged noir. If you crave dark metaphysical thrillers, eldritch monsters, and a heroine who won’t quit, this is your next obsession.

Cyberpunk themes are on point here. Big corps, downtrodden folk, the whole nine yards. Really nails the consumerist dystopian future. For the Lovecraftian side, there are good horror moments and some cool eldritch monsters. But that's sort of it. The book was short, plot unclear, world left un-built but implied, and ended abruptly in a way that didn't really feel satisfying to me. So it was alright. Worth a couple of bucks, but not much more.

A strange book. I dunno what kind of acid the author got his hands on, but it must a been some good shit. This book has the makings of a good story, but it's plain when too many tabs take effect as a chapter starts out well, then dissolves into a Bad Trip, Man. Whoa.

This books is seriously SICK!! Sin City meets Dune meets Mike Hammer !! Excellent writing skills, story line and twists all over the place. Open to interpretation every step of the way as to the meanings of the story. Searching for the next book for sure !!

About the author

Andy Futuro is an American writer of speculative fiction, which has been variously categorized science fiction, cyberpunk, horror, noir, metaphysical, absurdist, and dystopian. Futuro's Special Sin series follows a strong female protagonist as she battles aliens, AIs, clones, corporations, psychics, and mutants, on a quest to avert the apocalypse. Futuro's influences include Neil Gaiman, William Gibson, H.P. Lovecraft, Neal Stephenson, Stephen King, Alan Moore, Robert A. Heinlein, Philip K. Dick, Frank Herbert, and Hugh Howey. Futuro seeks out and devours the best new books on Amazon, especially dark, gritty, and weird stories. His favorite pastime is browsing free books by indie authors and discovering future classics. When he isn't writing or reading, he is preparing for the alien invasion.

The goal of No Dogs in Philly: A Lovecraftian Cyberpunk Noir is to serve readers craving something different and surprising. No Dogs in Philly combines metaphysical horror with gritty cyberpunk and science fantasy elements. A strong female lead replaces the male lead in classic hardboiled noir. The futuristic dystopian setting follows the rules of absurdism. The alien invaders are truly alien. The monsters are truly monstrous. The Gods are truly God-like. And underneath it all is the sense that humans might not be so powerful.
