AP used to function just fine on my Samsung Galaxy Z6 Flip. Now, when I open the app, the homepage works fine, but if I click on an article to read, the app freezes and will not scroll up or down. After a few seconds of trying to scroll, it will simply crash. I've checked for updates, uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared cache and data, and always get the same results. I guess I'm on the hunt for another reliable news source with a functional app.

The news and functionality are good. But the ads are too frequent, appearing on every article on top of the pages. The "x" function reduces the size of the ad but they still obscure some of the reading area. UPDATE: I am uninstalling this app and just bookmarking the website. I still get push notifications although I turned off all push notifications. it's quite frustrating. I like APNews but the app is not good, in my opinion.

The general layout is nice, but there are a few shortcomings to this app. 1) I can't turn on news based on my location w/o turning on loc on my phone. zip and state options would be nice. 2) app keeps crashing - is it not backwards compatible for people with older phones? 3) accessibility is a problem. I need an option to turn off side swiping. I am constantly struggling to scroll straight enough to not open the adjacent article. 4) causes my VPN to crash, which I saw in another review as well!

You can now bookmark and share articles directly from notifications! This update also includes major changes to how images are handled to reduce bandwidth consumption, polishes the UI and squashes a few minor bugs.
