I wanted to like KakaoPage, but honestly, it’s been a huge disappointment. The app feels cluttered, slow, and confusing to navigate. The biggest issue, though, is the payment model. The “free to read” system is misleading – you constantly get stuck waiting for hours (or even days) just to unlock the next chapter, unless you spend money. And when you do pay, the prices are ridiculous for the amount of content you get. It feels more like a cash grab than a platform that respects its readers.

At first, I was excited to try Kakao but the app itself is a nightmare. It crashes randomly, loads super slowly, and sometimes my purchased chapters just won’t open. The layout is confusing, and it feels like they care more about pushing ads than making it easy to read. I wanted to enjoy the stories, but the app makes it so frustrating that I gave up halfway through.

Kakao Page has potential, but the experience for non-Korean users is very frustrating. Even though there is a huge library of comics and novels, the lack of English support makes it almost unusable for international readers. The app frequently responds to user issues only in Korean, and there is no copy-paste feature for translating replies, which feels unhelpful. It's surprising that in 2025, the global version is still so limited.
